1. What convinced you to run for Select Board?
-
Property tax increases of 31% on a median valued home in the last 5 years
-
Failure of the $11,400,000 debt exclusion to pass at the fall town meeting only to be passed after reconsideration once 10 to 15 "no" voters left the town meeting
-
The Bay Property Planning Committee published their recommendations for both properties totaling $57 MILLION which by their calculations would add $440 per year to each Brewster property tax bill
-
$36 MILLION in planned capital spending for the elementary schools, public works, library, fire department and other projects through fiscal year 2029 adding almost another $300 per year in property tax.

Young families and seniors on fixed incomes cannot afford these increases

Keeping the town affordable for our children, grandchildren and their children

Born in Boston, South Shore resident and first visited Brewster and the Cape as an adolescent in the 1970s

Built our house while living in Japan in 1992

Eldest daughter was married at our Lady of the Cape
